Community Health Day in Morristown to offer free screenings

MORRISTOWN -- Morristown Memorial Hospital's Community Health Day will mark its 15th anniversary of offering a variety of free, health-related services at Headquarters Plaza from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 11, the hospital announced.

Mano a Mano to focus on ESL, GED, job skills

Beginning Sept. 13, Mano a Mano will be able to help Round Lake-area adults, most of them immigrants from Mexico who are determined to learn to speak, read and write English, through the new Community School for Parents. Funded through a grant from United Way of Lake County, the school will offer classes in ESL, GED and computer skills.
